Surf conditions at 6.45 a.m. on Wednesday 8th May 2013:
Ah, what a difference a day makes!
South westerly wind has taken control, fresh but not too frisky yet and so the surf is a bit wishy washy, a bit crumbly and barely a couple to three feet.
That should change as the day rolls along, a new swell showing itself as the wind supports those little windswells too. It's probably going to be three to four feet easily by this evening's (Spring) tide.
But right now it is only a couple of feet, the odd three footer cresting through.
It's also a little damp, I guess that there was some rain through the night but it looks like it might brighten up later.
So, it's all okay with some rolling, sloshing but building swell, an overcast and grey sky but with the promise of something brighter later and an onshore but not too strong wind.
A day of two halves might lie ahead.
Big congratulations to Rhy Barfield on keeping his u16s and u18s Welsh Championship titles up in Pembroke over the weekend!
And congrats to all the guys at the English down at Watergate over the weekend too! Sounds like it was a blast.
