Rio Pro Lights-Up

WHAT a difference a day makes at the Billabong Rio Pro, Barra da Tijuca showed its happy face for rounds three, four and five.

The event is down to the quarters and it looks a little something like this:

QF 1: Tiago Pires vs. Joel Parkinson
QF 2: Alejo Muniz vs. Mick Fanning
QF 3: John John Florence vs. Julian Wilson
QF 4: Josh Kerr vs. Adriano de Souza

The Forecast predicts a dropping swell today (Wednesday) mixing up with the forerunners of tomorrow’s new pulse. Luke Egan contest director said yesterday that they were keen to kick on and finish the event today and it has been called live this morning. Unusually for the last day of an event the swell could well be better later, albiet with possible onshore winds.

Who’s your pick for the event?

It’s live here.
